Religious Quote: Joseph Ratzinger

A just laicism allows religious freedom. The state does not impose religion but rather gives space to religions with a responsibility toward civil society, and therefore it allows these religions to be factors in building up society.
Joseph Ratzinger

Not all moral issues have the same moral weight as abortion and euthanasia. There may be legitimate diversity of opinion even among Catholics about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not... with regard to abortion and euthanasia.
Joseph Ratzinger

Having a clear faith, based on the creed of the church is often labeled today as fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, which is letting oneself be tossed and swept along by every wind of teaching, look like the only attitude acceptable to today's standards.
Joseph Ratzinger

The wrath of God is a way of saying that I have been living in a way that is contrary to the love that is God. Anyone who begins to live and grow away from God, who lives away from what is good, is turning his life toward wrath.
Joseph Ratzinger

To me, its seems necessary to rediscover - and the energy to do so exists - that even the political and economic spheres need moral responsibility, a responsibility that is born in man's heart and, in the end, has to do with the presence or absence of God.
Joseph Ratzinger

The Cross is the approbation of our existence, not in words, but in an act so completely radical that it caused God to become flesh and pierced this flesh to the quick; that, to God, it was worth the death of his incarnate Son.
Joseph Ratzinger

We are moving toward a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as for certain and which has as its highest goal one's own ego and one's own desires.

Having a Sister Means Having a Best Friend for Life

Author’s Note- This essay talk about how much I appreciate the wonderful sister that I have. Without her, I wouldn’t have a life that a twelve year old girl would live.

There is one thing in this world that most younger kids don’t care much about. Their older sisters. I have an older sister named Angela. Angela is a sophomore in High School, she’s 16, has her driver’s license and makes my life more complete. When I am having trouble in school or with a friend, my family and I have dinner and talk out our problems. For example, yesterday, Angela was bringing me home from school. I told her that I was really mad at a teacher. Angela told me what to do, even though I already did it. We were talking out the situation in the car and eventually got through it. That’s what I love about Angela is that she helps you through tough situations that you can’t handle on your own.

I hear quite often, daily, at school say how much they scorn their sister. It breaks my heart when I hear people say this kind of stuff about them. People ask me all the time, “I hate my sister. Do you like your sister?” And I always respond yes. There has never been one time where I have said no, I hate my sister. Even though we get into fights a lot, we still love each other. Our sistership will never grow apart and that’s how the Lord created us. Angela is the perfect sister for me. She is helpful, compassionate, intelligent, trustworthy and a defender. She is always there for me, loves and cares for me. If I didn’t have Angela in my life, I wouldn’t know what to do.

Having a sister means having a best friend for life. Older sisters can answer questions that maybe they have already experienced, for example, your first crush. Your sister could talk you through on what to do so you don’t embarrass yourself. Sisters can guide you through your life and help you through tough situations. Some people I know are only childs in their family. I hear them day and night saying they wished they had a big sister. I am lucky to have Angela as a sister because without her, I would be alone, mostly inside watching TV instead of going outside and enjoying the fresh air. Angela and I are so much alike. We love movies, roller coasters, food, my dog Percy, music and a lot of other things. Jesus created Angela and I to be perfect sisters. Our sisterhood will never grow or fall apart. No matter how hard things can be between you and your sister, never let that special bond drift away.

What's Green, Small and as Cute as a Button?

Author's Note- Turtles are God's wonderful, little creatures that warm up everybody's day. There is no denying, THE SEA TURTLE!!!

Turtles are cute little water animals that capture your heart. My friend and I recently bought a baby turtle and named him Mr. Turtle Sir. (He’s not real)

Turtles can be as cute as a button. There’s no rejecting turtles. Baby sea turtles can make a child’s heart warm up with love and excitement when they see a baby sea turtle. Parents face light up of the enjoyment, but think of it. Turtles do nothing. They barely walk but at the same time, they open the eyes of little children everywhere. Baby turtles are really cute. There is no resisting them. Its a love connection that will never go away. People are addicted to turtles because of their cuteness. The passion of baby sea turtles just overwhelms me and how people just get attracted right away. I can imagine because they are super adorable. Turtles are one thing that children really and truly enjoy.

Jesus Christ

Author’s Note: This poem or sort of poem talks about what Jesus does and how amazing he is.

El Shaddai, Lord of Grace
Lord, The Most High
Adonai, Most High
Jesus Christ
He is my Prince of Peace
And I will live my life for Him.
My King, My Rock, My Salvation.
Jesus will be by my side
He will never leave me.
My God performs many miracles,
Makes the Blind see, makes the deaf hear.
He heals all people and comforts the weak.
There is nothing better or greater than my God.
Courageous, Powerful, Almighty God
The One who created the heavens and the earth
And gave the life of human.
There is nothing better of greater than my God.

A & A Rollercoaster Adventure Land!!!!

Author’s Note- My idea of a perfect world is all in this essay. Everything that I would want would make my life more and more interesting. Enjoy!!!

Making my own perfect world would be a huge dream of mine. If I could make my own little big world, then I would make my world a roller coaster, movie, shopping adventure land because these are all of my favorite things to do. Roller coasters especially because I am a roller coaster fanatic. Every summer vacation that we have to have a roller coaster vacation. I would also chose movies because I see almost every movie that comes out. Action movies would be out in theatres for the rest of your life because action movies are my #1 types of movies. And last, shopping because I love to go shopping and buy everything that I like in the stores. Everything in my park would be no more than $20. That’s my idea of a perfect world.

Besides all of the fun stuff that a lot of people like, I would love to have homes around the park that are as big as palaces!! In the houses, you can accessorize your personal home. There is nothing, not even a government policy that you can’t add as many things in your house as you want. You get to personalize your own home. Some other things that I would add in my park would be a place where you could either design or get your own  car. Whatever you want it to be. It can be a little jumbo car that can be as fast as lightning or like a limo. Let me tell you; you will love staying in this world.

Imagine what it would be like to live in a world where everything is fun and exciting. No more boring old earth, so come to my A & A Roller coaster Adventure Land! You can find everything that you ever wanted for as low as $20!! You can ride roller coasters that go so high, you can see Canada!! So, don’t wait! Come to my Adventure Land now!! It’s the little big thing that will make your mind explode!!!

Another thing that is really fun is you can create some ideas to add into my park to make it even better. if you submit some ideas, then you could earn over $900!! There is a right answer because I wouldn't want a park that has really dumb ideas. That would be cool because you can make little big money and have a house as big as a castle when you earn this kind of money.

Creating my own little world would make my life so much more interesting and fun. If I really can make my own world, then I will be the luckiest person in the world. I hope that my dream does come true and I can open a business with my family and create insane roller coasters. If you are a fan of roller coasters, then I consider you imagine my adventure park. Dream it, Live it, Have fun with it.

THE AVENGERS!!!

Author’s Note- This story is all about my favorite movie, The Avengers. It might be a little confusing but I hope you see the movie.

My favorite movie of all time is Marvel’s The Avengers. The Avengers is an action packed, thriller movie for people who love the Marvel comics. The Avengers combines all of earth’s greatest heroes. Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man and the treacherous villain, Loki. During the movie, the main characters face a problem that no hero has ever experienced before. Earth’s death. A concussion of villians enter the earth and take over the planet. It’s up to The Avengers to save the day.

What I love about The Avengers is that there is so much thrills and adventure that really gets your heart pumped up. I am an action person, and this movie really brings out my personality. My favorite comic Avenger is Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr. In the movie, there are a lot of funny lines and scenes that will really crack your heart. I was cracking up when I heard and saw the scenes and lines. Even the threats are really funny. But not until things get so serious, that there will be no more hilarious scenes.

When Loki, the step brother of Thor enters earth, friendships are tested, good and evil battle and Loki gets his revenge on the earth. All the action in the movie happens when Loki enters earth. Loki is after a cube that could have unlimited energy. The best part about the movie is all of the funny lines and the action. Everytime an action movie comes out into theatres, I want to see it right away. Action movies are my life and the Avengers really made my movie life a whole lot better. I hope you guys will see the Avengers soon. It is a fantastic movie. GO AVENGERS!!!!!!

The Year of Choices

Author’s Note: This story is all about going into a new grade and meeting new people. When you enter that new grade, there is always a boy meets girl type of thing. Seventh Grade by Gary Soto is a clever story about entering a new grade and becoming a more mature adult. Seventh Grade is a year of wise choices and this year will help you with your future.

Seventh Grade is so far my favorite grade of all time. I have wonderful teachers, great friends and exciting classes. Then I read Seventh Grade by Gary Soto. This story is the opposite of what my life is in Seventh Grade. There is a teenage boy named Victor and he is starting off the new year in Seventh Grade. His first day did not start off so well. Some of his teachers are really strict. Lucky for me, I don’t have a lot of mean teachers. On the first day of school, Victor’s teachers weren’t so thrilled about having him in his class. He was acting very strange and gangster like to the adults. It is all because of this very special someone that he loves in his class. A beautiful girl named Teresa. Ever since he saw that one girls face, she’s all that he thinks about. Throughout the story, that’s all that Victor can think about. If you see a boy or a girl in your grade that is really cute, then don’t think about them 24/7.Your mind will only be on that one person and nothing else and then you then get sidetracked from school and your academics will suffer, trying to impress that one person.

Have you ever had the feeling where when you start Middle School that none of your friends will be in your classes, lunch or even at your school? I get that feeling all the time. I had one friend in the Elementary School that I looked up to so much. She moved to another city far away from the Pewaukee District and I have missed her so much. Victor is very lucky though because he has all of his friends still at his school to comfort you when tough times happen, need help with homework or whatever it may be. Friends are one thing that you have to have in Seventh Grade. Without friends, your year in Seventh Grade will be lonely, miserable and boring. Friends give you guidance throughout the year. Friends are honest, unique, caring and most important, trustworthy. Victor’s friends gave him advice when it came to the one girl that Victor fell in love with. You can not go through school without friends or good luck having a boring year without any friends.

Throughout the whole story, the author shows me that you can save yourself a lot of humility and trouble if you go and express your feelings to someone. The best way that Victor tried to tell Teresa that he liked her by impressing her in French class. All that Victor did to himself in French class was embarrassing himself by saying random words that weren’t French like “La me vave me con le grandma” and “Frenchie oh wewe gee in September”. Victor was not using common sense and he didn’t think before he spoke. Impressing someone that you don’t even know can be a dangerous liability during the course of your Seventh Grade year. If you try to impress someone during a class, then sometimes it can really push the teacher’s buttons just like Victor did during his French class. Mr. Bueller’s buttons were pushed by Victor’s love trilogy with Teresa and embarrassed himself for good.

Impressing someone that you like during the first day of school can be very risky. Having your mind on that special someone will not help you during school. Your academics will suffer if you can’t get your mind off of that one person. Don’t be like Victor and try to impress someone in school because you will be embarrassed, especially if other people find out. Rumors will spread and you Seventh Grade year will be humiliating. People will make fun of you and bully you. Never act like you are the best person in the class to show off a talent that you don’t have. That would be the worst case scenario. If you need to express your feelings to someone, go talk to them personally so you are not surrounded by other people and you won’t be humiliated by other people. Follow what your heart says and it will guide you.

The Beginning of the End

Author’s Note: It is the final battle at Hogwarts. Death Eaters vs. the good guys; Harry and Voldemort face to face for the battle of a life time. Only one will win and only one will rise up into victory. The battle begins and ends here.

Imagine what it must feel like when you are at the best wizarding school of all time and then a tremendous war begins. What might that be like? Would you be scared, excited, horrified? In the fictional novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling, which is the last novel of the Harry Potter series and the epic finale, there comes a life changing choice between facing the worst Dark Wizard of all or having your friends and family persecuted. Tough choices will be made; serious conflicts between friends and family begin. The author paints a picture of the battle between good and evil. In this novel, the characters choose whether they will join the evil side, where everything is messed up or the good side, where great things happen. The characters become more heroic as the story continues.

Visualize you are at the most powerful school in the wizard world. This school is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts, the most highly exalted school, is your like your home. Then one day, a dreadful battle begins. What might that be like? Think of all the horrendous wars in real life. Harry Potter is the exact same thing, but with wands and magic. The characters in Harry Potter went through the most terrifying battle of their lives. Harry, Ron and Hermione, the three main characters in Harry Potter, along with everyone else, lost their loyal friends and family members during the final battle at Hogwarts.

Throughout the story, the evil Dark Lord, Voldemort has returned for his revenge against Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived. When Voldemort went to Godric’s Hollow to kill Harry, Voldemort’s curse rebounded on the only living thing around him. Harry himself. That’s why Harry has a scar on his head; half of Voldemort’s soul lives in Harry. Harry can talk to snakes and see where Voldemort is in his head.

Would it be scary if Voldemort went inside your head and you couldn’t ignore it? Everyone at Hogwarts experienced that. The Dark Wizard said that Harry had to meet him in the forest to die once and for all or have everyone alive die. Harry had a tough choice to make between to fight for friends and family and have them die or have Harry die and Hogwarts and everyone be safe. If you were Harry Potter, what would be your decision? Harry made a wise choice and chose to die rather than having is friends and family die. Harry is a wonderful person during this fight. He’s brave, a leader, loyal and most importantly, a good friend. Not a lot of people would have the guts to go and face Voldemort. Harry Potter is like a brother to everyone at Hogwarts.

In the story, there is a stone called the “Resurrection Stone” that brings loved ones back from the dead. When Harry went to the forbidden forest, he used the resurrection stone to bring his family back to life. The resurrection stone in real life is like dreams. We dream of a family a family member or a friend to come back to life and you get so into it, its like its real. That’s how the stone works. Then, you are there. In front of the wizard that killed your parents. You are shaking like an earthquake. You hear those words that you never want to hear. “Avada-cadabra!” Now, your dead. Your in your own little world with the headmaster of Hogwarts. Everyone has that happen. They go off into their own little world, just like Harry did when he “died.” But a surprising shock happens.

Finally, Hogwarts, the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry is half destroyed. Then, the good and the evil come together face to face. You are asked to make a choice between the good side or the dark side. If you go to the dark side, its just like you drank poison and changed or stay on the good, clean side. Which side would you choose? Your choice is between life or death.

Every character in the last Harry Potter is very brave. They all made wise choices. Ron and Hermione are Harry’s best friends. They both look after Harry and give him valuable advice. My friends look after me and give me valuable advice as well. Friends are one thing that you have to have in your life. They support and care about you no matter what happens. Harry, Ron and Hermione are superior friends to one another. They are all brave, loyal, trustworthy, kind and honest.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 is an action packed novel that is great for Harry Potter lovers. If you have never read or even heard of Harry Potter. Read it and you will enjoy it. The best part of what J.K. Rowling did is she made an image of what the final battle would be like and what happens to everyone during the end of Harry Potter. This epic finale will give you the chills.
